Route traffic by ACL group

Route all traffic for a specific group of Consumers to a secondary upstream service.

Prerequisites

ACL plugin configured with allowed groups

Environment variables

UPSTREAM_HOST: The hostname of your upstream service without the the http or https prefix. For example, example.com.
ACL_GROUP_NAME: Groups that are allowed to access the canary service. Takes a group name that corresponds to a group created via the ACL plugin. You can specify multiple group names.

Set up the plugin

Add this section to your declarative configuration file:

region: Geographic region where your Kong Konnect is hosted and operates.
controlPlaneId: The id of the control plane.
KONNECT_TOKEN: Your Personal Access Token (PAT) associated with your Konnect account.

Prerequisite: Configure your Personal Access Token
